While reporting on the icy weather from Mt. Shasta, KRCR reporter Courtney Kreider has become encased in a block of ice. Cal Trans is currently working on excavating her, however she is reportedly still delivering the news despite her condition. “It appears she has managed to move her eyelids,” states Cal Trans worker Reggie Kelvin, “and with a combination of blinks and muffled moans, yes, yes, I believe she’s now stating that road conditions are sketchy and people should always bring chains.”
Cal Trans will make every effort to thaw Kreider in time for the morning news, however progress has been slow. “If we’re unable to save her,” states Kelvin, “our fall back plan is to bury her to allow future generations to recover her. We fully anticipate she’ll be comfortable delivering the news in the 22nd or 23rd century.”
