In an open letter from East Redding to West Redding, the citizens in East Redding have one request: stop pouring pool water into their potable water tanks. "Every morning we shower ourselves in pool water," reads the tear-stained letter, "and every day we choke down tap water so chlorinated we feel like we're in Los Angeles. We've had enough."
West Redding has yet to respond to this request but has, in the past, assured East Redding they only pump clean pool water into East Redding's reservoirs. "I mean, we're not savages," read a press release dated two years ago.
